England Saxons, with an average age of 23, played a ferocious match against the Ireland A Team on Friday night. Tom Varndell proved his finishing skills with 2 tries but it was the immense carrying and work rate of Jordan Crane and the enginuity of Shane Geraghty which made England shine. A disappointed Ryan Lamb was taken off with a shoulder injury during the first half which brought on Anthony Allen to take over at full back so that Shane Geraghty could come forward to the fly half position. His cross kick creating one of Varndell's tries was inspirational and surely will make Brian Ashton think twice - surely!!

It's not often that we spot a pretty boy in the forwards, but Leicester's Jordan Crane really fits the bill. We've managed to get hold of a rare 'no scrum' hat picture when the big, blonde bombshell ran out for England in the summer. Watch out for him girls! He's big and he's hot!
