It's good to be back home! Ben Cohen is back where he belongs, on English soil. After 18 months playing for CA Brive in France he is looking forward to a rest and then on to play with Sale Sharks next season. A leaner and wiser Ben told RFTG that he has really enjoyed the past two seasons playing with the French club and has experienced a very different type of rugby, but he is now relishing the opportunity of getting back to the English Premiership. He is under no illusion that it will be tough going and he will need to prove that he has the form required to be in the starting 15. Ben is going against the tide with so many English players now leaving to play in French clubs, but he is a home boy at heart and will be spending the summer break with his wife Abby and 18 month old twin daughters, Harriette and Isabelle, at the family home in rural Northamptonshire. An interview for CA Brive website sums up Ben's feeelings about coming home and his future in English rugby. He admitted in the interview that he had not been playing at his best for the last few games of the season so the move to Sale will be even more of a challenge. Would he have chosen to go back to Saints? Ben said, he did not get the opportunity but he will still be living in Northampton. His message to the his supporters at Brive: 'I felt very welcome during my time at Brive. My neighbours and all the staff at the club were very supportive. The support from the fans was fantastic and the people have been good to the foreign players. Feeling welcome was so nice'. Will we see him wearing an England shirt again? Well, we at RFTG emphatically believe we will but for now we are excited about seeing him on the small screen next season with Sale. WELCOME HOME BEN. NICE TO HAVE YOU BACK. XX
