The Delight and the Despair The Delight of Leicester Tigers can be matched only by the Despair of Northampton Saints.
They are at opposing poles of the Guinness Premiership and this weekend whilst Leicester began their quest towards the treble, Saints clung onto staying in the Premiership by their finger nails.
EDF Energy Cup - Leicester 41 Ospreys 35 GP - Wasps 35 Saints 29
ŠAction Images PLCOur report this week comes from two different ends of the Guinness Premiership. This Sunday lunchtime Northampton Saints ran out to face London Wasps in a crucial match that really could have gone either way. The pressure that Saints are under must be immense but they pulled out all the stops and were unlucky to go down coming out with only a rather flat bonus point.
At last, Saint's kicking came together and Bruce Reihana kept banging them over giving Saints the lead at half time. However, Fraser Waters and Paul 'Gangster' Sackey had other ideas and Wasps came out on top by simply making more of their chances.
Before the match Saints were at the bottom of the table just two points behind Worcester who have found form of late winning the majority of their matches. Saints however haven't won any, apart from their Heineken Cup Quarter Final against Biarritz - how bizarre!
After 80 minutes poor old Saints came off the pitch with only one point and an injured Carlos Spencer. Worcester now had the chance to bury Saints down into National 1 - but London Irish had other ideas and a try from RFTG fav Bob Casey meant that Worcester scored 'nil point' from their game later the same afternoon.
The upshot is..... they have to do it all again in two weeks time. Worcester can have a restful weekend whilst Saints really will think they are suffering from 'deja vue' as they take on Wasps again in the Heineken Cup Semi Final next Sunday.
Worth a mention - Dylan Hartley - you were amazing today and thoroughly deserved man of the match. With sad news today of Steve Thompson's retirement due to injury, young Dylan stepped up and played a blinder - well done Dylan.

Leicester 41 Ospreys 35 Now onto some great news for Leicester fans - you may already know this but today Martin Cory lifted some silver ware for Tigers for the first time in 5 years! The EDF Energy Cup was won after a tough match against Ospreys who were in fact trailing by 9 - 28 - Justin Marshall was having a bit of nightmare of a game and Ospreys were looking at a white wash.
However, the second half came and Ospreys burst into flames! Well, nearly.... Shane Williams turned into one of the X Men and scored two tries whilst Lee Byrne made it three just for good measure, much to the delight or horror of the 60,000 Twickenham crowd.
Leicester were rattled - but as the half went on they re-gained their composure and Mr Smoothy, Tom Varndell, put pay to Ospreys chances of a Welsh win.
