Crabble Athletic Ground is home to both Dover Rugby and Football. The lower part (the pretty bit) houses Dover Sharks – the up and coming team for talent in all areas, on pitch and off!

RFTG has strong links with Dover ,as Jill Tipping, founder and CEO of RFTG, runs the club shop on Sunday mornings selling everything from Quest Vests to stripey socks and drill tops to sock ties. Places like Dover are where rugby dreams and legends begin. Starting with Tag Rugby at age 5, boys and girls can learn how to share the passion and many of them go on to have life-long friends and heaps of memories from the games and social events held at the club.

Dover were great sports and agreed to take part in a photo shoot after training one sunny evening in July. We didn’t realise what scrummy talent was lurking within the first 15 until shirts were discarded and inhibitions flung out of the window.

It was also the Sharks who made up the RFTG gang at our launch day at Twickenham. Poor guys spent the whole day in full dinner suits – and boy was it hot!

So thank you Dover Sharks. You will always be our heroes and Jill will still be down on the touchline on Saturdays leaping up and down like a demented loony.
